Americana: Barber, Bernstein, Copland

John V. Sinclair, conductor • Bach Vocal Artists

Join us for an evening where music meets meaning, featuring three masterworks that explore life’s deepest questions through sound.

Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms glows with rhythmic vitality and lyrical beauty—a radiant fusion of Hebrew text, choral brilliance, and orchestral color. At once joyful and reflective, it offers a powerful testament to faith, hope, and the human spirit.

Paired with it is Aaron Copland’s In the Beginning, a bold choral setting of the Genesis creation story. Featuring mezzo-soprano soloist and chorus, Copland’s music captures the wonder of the world’s first breath.

Together, these works promise an unforgettable, soul-stirring experience.
